James Hubert Peyton

April 25, 1930 ~ June 19, 2018 (age 88)

James Hubert Peyton, 88,  passed away peacefully at Marion County Hospice House in Ocala, FL, June 19, 2018.  Jim grew up in Jeffersonville, IN. He trained in aircraft crash rescue in the Air Force. He worked as an industrial firefighter for over a quarter century at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in West Palm Beach, FL. During retirement Jim enjoyed owning paint horses and showing them, especially his beloved mare, Chelsea. He also enjoyed his English Springer Spaniels and German Shepherds. 


He was preceded by his son, Steven Peyton; widowed by Carolyn Peyton. He was the last remaining sibling of his large family of sisters and brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Norma; son, William D. Peyton (Margaret); grandchildren, James E. Peyton (Kelly), Jonathan Peyton (Lindsay),  Ashley Peyton and Stephanie Peyton Taylor (Rod); great-grandchildren, Samantha, Allyson, Jack and Waylon. 


Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home. A memorial Tribute is planned at a later date. Any donations can be made to Marion County Hospice.
