Alberta L. Peavy

Alberta L. Peavy, age 97, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born on April 2, 1929, in Linden, Florida to Simeon and Gertrude Malory. Mrs. Peavy resided in Marion County for 77 years and was a homemaker, loving mother, nanny, and ran a produce stand with her husband C.G. Peavy. Mrs. Peavy loved her family and enjoyed cooking, caring for family, and raising her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charlie G. Peavy, brother, John Roland Malory, grandson, Justyn Auburn Meyer; and daughter-in-law, Sheila Peavy.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: sons, Donnie Peavy (Julia), Jody Peavy (Debbie), Charles Peavy, Allen Peavy (Kathy), and Mark Peavy (Kim); daughter, Donna Askew (Mitchell); 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and many friends who visited her over the years. Everyone was family to her.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2026, at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Road, Anthony, Florida from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. A celebration of Mrs. Peavy's Life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 1300 NE 100th Street, Anthony, FL. Grandson Juddy Peavy will give the eulogy, and Reverend Samuel Clements will officiate.

She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
