He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rosa Bobe Vives; sons, Alejandro Vives, Antonio Vives (LeighAnn), and Jose Ramon (Omayra); daughters, Rosa Marrone (Robert), Alva Vives-Kornaker (Stephen), Sandra Lange (Dion), Teresa Scharff (Micheal); sisters, Angela Barbara Yergo; 15 grandchildren, Aleysa, Sereyna, Jose, Angela, Angel, Cassandra, Brandon, Klara, Alana, Caleb, Anthoni, Kaitlin, Kathryn, Sophia, Lauren and 4 great-grandchildren, Zelda, Colton, Eleyna, Kane.
