Ocala - Alice L. Cordrey, 92, passed away October 11, 2016. Born March 12, 1924 in Christina, FL, to James and Alice Hooker. She moved to Anthony, Florida as a child and has lived in Marion County all of her life.
Alice is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William Edwin Cordrey, Sr; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, William E. "Bill" Cordrey, Jr (Diane), David Glenn Cordrey (Janet); daughter, Janice L. Starling; brother, Virgil Hooker (Joan); 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Friday, October 14, 2016, at Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL, with Pastor John Childers officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, today at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
