Barnwell (Barney) Beecher Beck, Jr., age 84, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, with family by his side. He was born on January 16, 1941, in Ocala, Florida, the son of Barnwell and Leone Beck.
Growing up, he had a deep love for livestock and agriculture. He was an avid farmer and active member of 4-H. He attended Ocala High School in Ocala, FL, then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Florida.
Barnwell had a passion for sales and was employed by Coca-Cola USA for over 20 years. He was also a longstanding member and past officer of Elks Lodge #286.
Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, SEC college football, and was highly skilled at billiards. As an active APA player, he competed in over 1,500 matches, won numerous awards, and played in several national tournaments in Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Lora; his wife, Carrolle Ann; his cousin, Tabatha Yandle Wolter; and his longtime friend, Buddy Blair.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Barclay (Tracy, daughter-in-law); and his daughter, Candace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE 21st Ave, Anthony, FL 32617, on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 2:00 pm. Flowers are welcome and donations may be made directly to the funeral home to help his celebration of life.
