Betty Jo Wes

SILVER SPRINGS - Betty Jo Wes , 86, passed away, February 9th, 2022 in Ocala, Florida. She was born October 11th, 1935, in Anthony, Florida, to William Smith and Ruth Priest. Betty was a chef for many years, as well as a nursing assistant.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Smith; sons, Donald, Todd and James McQuaig  ; daughter, Deborah McQuaig; sister, Mary Strickland.

She is survived by her son, Darryl McQuaig; brothers, Johnny, Alvin and Gordon Smith and sisters, Ann Owens, Sarah Pauly, Esther Krugler and Raechael Starling. As well as eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, Riley.

The Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m at Countryside Funeral Home, with the visitation beginning one hour prior. Mr. George Johnson will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Anthony Cemetery.
