Brenda Joy Kristofferson

Brenda Joy Kristofferson, 64 passed away in hospice care on March 31, 2026. She was born in Savannah Georgia to Jerye and Loretta Kristofferson. Her family moved to Ocala Florida in 1965. Brenda was a 1979 graduate of Forest high school in Ocala Florida, and received her certificate of cosmetology at Central Florida, community college.

For many years, Brenda dedicated herself to her work as a barber, where she was known not only for her skill but for the genuine connections she built with everyone who sat in her chair. Her clients became like family, and she had a special way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Outside of her work, Brenda found her greatest joy by the beach. The sound of the waves and the feel of the sand beneath her feet brought her peace and happiness. Whether she was soaking in the sunshine or simply watching the tide roll in, the beach was her sanctuary.

More than anything, Brenda adored her great nieces and nephews. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She loved them very much, and took great pride in watching them grow. To them, she was not just an aunt, but a source of fun and unconditional love. Brenda also loved her cats, and they were always there to greet her whenever she came home. She made sure that they were well taken care of.

Brenda will be remembered for the countless lives she touched in both big and small ways. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the stories shared, the love she gave, and the many lives she made brighter.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Jerye A. Kristofferson, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Denise (Dave) Wall, niece, Marie (Chaz) Fish, nephew, Clinton (Sara) Bell; and great nieces, Savannah, Teagan and Annabelle Fish, great nephews Caleb Fish, Baker and Dawson Bell, and Waylon Lindstam. Also her cousin Paul Kristofferson, Titusville. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
