Carolyn Elizabeth Jones

Carolyn Elizabeth Jones, age 86, was born December 19, 1939, in Gainesville, Florida. She went home on August 30, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Polly and Bill Seaward.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years, Don Jones, daughter Donna Baker (Kerry), sons Donald R. Jones (Susie) and Mark L. Jones (Kim), along with seven grandchildren, Joey Baker (Jayme), Ashley Drake (Andrew), Justin Green, Sr. (Yasmin), Casey Jones, Matthew Jones (Jackie), Seth Jones (Kinsey) Ashley Marie Jones, and ten great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was a shining example of a wife and mother to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life on this earth was a testament to her love, compassion, and true faith in God.

Carolyn grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart, Don, in July, 1958. She loved God's creation, camping, and traveling. She and Don made eight trips to Alaska.

Carolyn loved watching her daughter on the cheering squad and both of her sons playing high school football. She was an avid fan of FSU Seminole football.

If you knew Carolyn at all, you knew the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Central church of Christ. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
