"Smokey" Charles Terrell Robinson

March 30, 1940 — June 13, 2026

Charles Terrell Robinson, "Smokey", age 86, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 13, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1940 in Arcadia, Florida, a son of Charles "Dick" and Elizabeth "Libby" Robinson.

He is preceded in death by; his wife, Janet Robinson into whose arms he ran; and brother, "Lucky".

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: son, Derrel Robinson (Dreama); daughter, Penny Ranew (Randy); grandchildren, Jessie (Zac), Jackie (Marcus), Tyler, Michael (Lori), Ryan (Olivia),; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Colt, Alexis and Lexie.

Smokey, as he is known, lived a wonderful life in Ocala for more than 80 years. He and Janet had a place in Crystal River for over 20 years and loved to go fishing in the gulf and just catching mullet off the dock. As a family, we went fishing growing up from Cedar Key to Yankee town, etc. (Still one of Derrel and my favorite things to do to this day!) He and Mom started Smokey's Pump Service and Well Drilling, Inc. 53 years ago and the company is still in business on the 3rd generation of family owners. He was always proud of Smokey's Pump and when he would see a Smokey's truck go down the road he would smile and often say, "I wonder where they are headed". It gave him much pride and that means a lot to our family. He is now with Mama (Janet) and I feel certain they are dancing in heaven and he is finally getting some of Grandma Libby's cornbread, greens, homemade chicken n' dumplings along with her biscuits (they were unbelievable). He is with his entire family and I can only imagine what joy they all have being together.

A graveside service will take place Friday, June 19, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. at the Anthony Cemetery.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
