Charles Douglas Walker, 84, passed away on June 8, 2017. He was born into this life of February 17, 1933
in Marion, North Carolina.
He has been a Marion County resident for over 60 years. He worked for Maris Distribution Co. for many years. He was an avid golfer. He a Mason at Friendship
Lodge
and a life-time member of the VFW, and was also in the Navy for four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mamie Walker; and two sons, Chuck and Tim of North Carolina.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty K. Walker; sons, Mark Walker, Ocala, Mike Brown (Darlene), Gainesville; daughters, Linda Fulford, Ocala, Connie Lee Williams (Barry), Ocala, Carol Whitney, Rock Springs, WY; brother, Lewis Walker, N. Carolina; sister, Mary Jo Aldridge, N. Carolina; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
We will all cherish the time we had with him and miss him everyday. He is now in peace with our Lord. Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Pastor Bob King officiating. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
