Tommie Joyce Christmas - better known as Momma Jo - passed away on September 12, 2015.  Born December 13, 1949, in Ocala, FL, to Thomas and Joyce Reynolds, she was a life long resident.  She was a life long member of Reddick United Methodist Church.  She was a giver of her time and her love to everyone.  She worked as a teacher’s aide all of her career.  Her love for children is evident in any child that she ever came in contact with.  She was an avid Gator Fan, loved North Marion Football and was a FIGHTER to the end.  Her life revolved around her children and her five grandsons that she treasured more than anything.  She was "adopted" by the Tochman sisters in 1997.  Preceded in death by her husband, James D. Christmas, and son-in-law, Tommy Sims.   She is survived by son, Tom (Michelle) Christmas, Citra; daughters, Tammi (Will) Wilson, Port St. Lucie; Julya Sims, Citra; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Luke, Drake and Brice.  Visitation will be Monday, September 14th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony.   Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 15th at 3:00 pm, at First United Methodist Church, Reddick, with Rev. Ryan Frack and others officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Ocala in her memory.  The family requests that in memory of Momma Jo's fight with breast cancer to wear pink in her honor.
