Clara Hackmyer

Clara Kramer Hackmyer, 95, passed away on August 9. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to William and Minnie Kramer and moved to Florida in 1955. She lived in Miami and Gainesville before moving to Ocala in 1997. Clara was a homemaker who worked part time for the Miami Dade school system and then as a teacher assistant at P.K. Yonge in Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvan and her beloved siblings, Jack, Abe, Anna, Freida and Lee.

She is survived by her son, Scott Hackmyer (Betty) and daughters, Meryl Peters and Lori Burr (Robert). Clara has three grandchildren, Steve Peters (Diane), Ellen Valentine (Scott) and Zachary Burr and three great grandchildren, Katie Peters, Sarah Valentine and Jesse Valentine. EJ Koblar and Alexis Cooper were her honorary grandchildren.

The family will have a small, private memorial in her honor. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
