Silver Springs - Curtis Rudolph Thorne, 83, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Sylvia's House. Born July 18, 1932, in Samson, Alabama, to Curtis Thorne and Leila Wilson Thorne. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War and worked later as a farmer/mechanic. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Peggy E. Shirley Thorne; son, David R. Thorne; brothers, Don Thorne, Charles Thorne; sisters, Betty Endicott, Eleanor Sconyers, Verlow Thompson and Annette Walker. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at Countryside Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Snell officiating. Interment to follow in Waldena Cemetery.
