Daniel Eugene Glover, age 70, of Satsuma, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025. Born on April 6, 1955, in Aurora, Illinois, to Eugene and Lorraine (Harness) Glover, Dan grew up in Illinois before spending his later years soaking up the sun and serenity of Florida, where he found great joy in the warm weather, natural beauty, and leisurely pace of life near the water.
Dan was a deeply artistic soul whose imagination touched many aspects of his life. A passionate writer, he authored numerous books (available at very modest prices on Amazon), sharing philosophical insights and fantastical fictional tales that reflected his unique perspective. His talents also extended to woodworking, sculpture, and photography, where he found beauty in craftsmanship and captured the world through his magical sense of expression.
He leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever treasure his memory: his children Josh (Christi) Glover, Dawn (Evan) Tobler, and Heather (Tim) Sparks; his siblings Todd (Nancy) Glover and Jacquie Pitre; his beloved grandchildren Ashley, Chris, Dalton, Brennan, Noah, Preston, Kendall, Nate, Ethan, Chase, Cierra, Kade, Peyton, Katelyn and Timmy; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, adoring Internet fans, and last but not least, 28 cats including his favorite feline companion, Dolly.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Alexander, and his cherished sons Daniel Glover and Christopher Glover, whom he loved deeply and missed every day.
A natural burial will be held on July 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery near Gainesville, Florida, a peaceful sanctuary where his body will be returned to the earth in harmony with nature, honoring the values and beauty he embraced in life.
Dan will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his boundless imagination, and his enduring love for his family.
