Daniel Smith

Daniel Harold Smith, 75, passed away February 7, 2019, in Ocala, Florida.  He was born on April 20, 1943, in Reddick, Florida to Clarence and Frances (Kinard) Smith. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force ,employed as a firefighter at Jacksonville Naval Air Station after 22 years of service he retired. Dan enjoyed gardening, playing his guitar and writing his daily thoughts in a journal or on a Post It note. Dan had a big heart and was always the first to lend a helping hand. He was truly loved and will be missed by many.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Miller (Shawn); long time partner, Sue Edwards; brothers Paul and Jimmy; grandchild, Brandi Walters (Henry); great grandchild, Jaida Lebron (JaidaBug).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Countryside Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob King officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior, at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Millwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
