Ocala - David Marion Christmas Sr., 72, passed away September 8, 2016 at home. Born February 14, 1944, in Wilcox Co., GA to James William and Jewell O. Christmas. He moved here to Marion County as a small child, graduating from Reddick High School. He retired as a District Supervisor for Marion County Road Department after 27 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and shared his love of reading with his grandchildren. He cherished time spent with his beloved grandchildren and family.
He is preceded by his parents James & Jewell Christmas, brothers Delmar,
Dewitt
and Douglas Christmas. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Christmas; sons, David Marion Christmas Jr., (Sonja), Daniel Christmas (Stephanie); brother, Dennis Christmas (Laura); grandchildren, David "Kody", Elizabeth, Kaleb, Macy, Evan, Molly and great-grandchild, Braxton.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 12,
2016
at Countryside Funeral Home. Visitation will be a half-hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, FL.
