Gainesville - David Royal Sexton, 72, passed away October 16, 2021 after a short illness. Born in Freeman, Mercer County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Reginald Mason Sexton and Delila Winifred Shrader-Sexton, and the Step-son of the late Kathleen Virginia Palco-Sexton. He had been a resident of Gainesville since August 1988. He was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Lu Sexton; identical twin brother, Dennis Douglas Sexton and wife Angelina of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Joyce Elaine Ross and husband John of Bramwell, WV; Linda Irene Price (deceased) and husband Joel of Batavia, OH; nieces, Stephanie Layne Ross of Bramwell, WV and Tina Lu of Kirkland, WA; nephews, Christopher Shane Price and wife Andrea of Thurmont, MD; Joe Albert Price and wife Rachel of Dayton, OH, and Shao-Yeh Lu and wife Yifei of Champaign, IL.
Predeceasing him were his brother-in-law, Jun I Lu and Jung-Ming-Lu (James), both from Taiwan.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
