David Kimball Waters, Sr.

“David Kimball Waters, Sr., 67, passed away on August 18, 2026 in Ocala, Florida. He was born August 21, 1958 in Petersburg, Virginia a son of Edward and Nancy Waters.

He was preceded in death by; son, Hershel Edward Waters, brother; James Timothy Waters.

David served in the Navy, then a career as a police officer and detective. He served another career teaching the children and expanding their horizons with a yearly trip to Washington D.C. and Colonial Williamsburg. He and his incredible wife raised 3 awesome humans, and our Heavenly Father united him with a 4th almost 2 years ago. He found his way back to the Lord and served him in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is now reunited with our dear parents and his beautiful son along with the rest of the ones we love and miss.

He is survived by his wife; Lucinda Katrina Waters, son; David Kimball Altizer - Waters, Jr. (Joe), daughters; Kimberly A. Frost (Michael) and Johnie D Anne Cochran (Tony), brothers; Edward J Waters, Jr. (Julie) and George Stephen Waters, sisters; JoAnn Burgess (Jerry) and Christine Young, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints1835 SE 18th AveOcala, FL 34471 “
