Frank Hickman, Jr.

Delmus Franklin “Frank” Hickman Jr., 88, passed away August 11, 2026. He was born December 26, 1937, in Mobile, Alabama. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His love for the Lord, his wise counsel, and his heartfelt spiritual advice were gifts he was always willing to share with others.

Frank was the Owner and Operator of Mid-Florida Farm & Garden Store for 33 years. In retirement he managed two Interfaith thrift store locations.

He is proceeded in death by his wife LaRue Hickman. He is survived by his daughters: Jackie (Mike) Law, Lilburn, GA and Beth (Rusty) Falke, Ocala, his sons, Wayne (Karen) Hickman, Lexington, NC and Gerald (Cindy) Hickman, Ocala, 10 grandchildren and soon to be 15 great grandchildren, his sister, Tera Hunt (John), East Palatka, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at One Life Fellowship, Ocala from 6pm to 8pm.

The funeral service will be held at Unity Baptist Church, Anthony, FL with the Rev. Samuel Clements officiating on Saturday August 15, 2026, at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, FL.

The family is grateful for the wonderful care provided by Hospice of Marion County. In lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to Hospice of Marion County, Inc.
