Donald Gary Erhart

Donald Gary Erhart, age 84, of Salt Springs, Florida passed away on July 20, 2023.  He was born on October 16, 1938 in Erie, Pennsylvania a son to the late Dennis and Helen (Oloskey) Erhart.  Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife Elaine of 43 years, two sons, Michael Erhart in Washington State, Daniel Erhart in Michigan, and a daughter Sherry Erhart in Ohio.

 

Gary was in sales for many years until deciding to attend Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO at the age of 47.  He served on staff with Elaine while in school.  He was then camp manager for Maranatha Bible Camp in Missouri for 3 years and North FL Christian Service Camp in Keystone Heights, MO for 15 years.  Upon retiring, he moved to Salt Springs, FL for the remainder of his life.  

 

Gary was an active member of Central Church of Christ in Ocala, FL until his long battle with Leukemia kept him from being  able to work and attend in person.  He loved his church family but more than that, He loved the Lord he served , sharing what  Jesus Christ meant to him with everyone he met.  He was an amazing man and all who knew him will feel his loss.
