Ocala – Earlene Y. Shirer Kelly”, 72, passed away June 13, 2016. Born on September 7, 1943 in St. Augustine, FL to Bob and Leola Young, she moved here from Palatka 50 years ago.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and later a Master’s from the University of Central Florida. She was an elementary school teacher. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Henry Shirer; daughters, Patrice Shirer, of Orlando, Pamela Shirer, of Roanoke, VA; twin sister, Khris Chennel, of Palatka, sister, Savilla Beasley, of Deland; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, NW HWY 225, with Dr. W. Darren Bess officiating.
