Edith L. Shull

April 26, 1925 — June 3, 2023

Edith L. Shull, 98, passed on to be with the Lord on June 3, 2023 in Ocala, Florida. Edith was born in Sidell, Illinois on April 26, 1925 to Della Downey Mansfield. Edith was married to Albert Rainwater until his death in 1971.

Edith raised and was mother to 11 children: Loretta Hopper (deceased), Carl Rainwater (deceased), JoAnn Rainwater, Barbara Robbins, Keri Joyner, Ruth Frazier, Linda Wilson, Larry Rainwater, Steve Rainwater, Rick Rainwater, and Jayne Lawson. She was a good mother and loved by all her children.

Edith was a good cook and always had a meal for anyone who came to visit. She won a Second place red ribbon in a baking contest in Tampa for her apple pie.

Edith was a very hard worker for employers as well as at home. She said she loved to work.

Her second marriage was to Elmer Shull, now deceased. They liked to play golf.

Edith had many Grandchildren up to 4 generations, who were all special to her.

There will be a private ceremony at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, Florida, on Nov. 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
