Emily J. Taylor

Emily J. Taylor age 77, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 26, 2023.  She was born on September 26, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida a daughter to the late Benjamin and Leslie (Barrs) Jouvenaz.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Taylor, Sr. in 2001, and a son, James Ray Taylor, Jr.  in 2006. 

She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Janet Irene Birkey (John), a son, Jonathan Earl Taylor (Christy), and a daughter-in-law, Evelyne Taylor (James). She also had five grandchildren: Jennifer Chick (Billy), John Edward Birkey, (Hillary), Jimmy Taylor (Megan), Tatiana Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, and a great-granddaughter, Eleanor Jane. 

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday July 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (visitation at 1:30 p.m.) at Berean Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
