Eric Shawn Miller, 50, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 24, 2026.
Born on May 1, 1976, Eric was the beloved son of John Miller and Jans Rawls Cannell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jans Rawls Cannell, in April 2020, and his father, John Miller, in April 2021.
Eric was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a man whose family was truly his world. He and his beloved wife, Amanda, shared seven wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, laughter, and their(his) son, Dylan. Whether they were spending time together at home, making memories outdoors, or enjoying a quiet day fishing, Eric cherished every moment with the people he loved most.
Eric had a passion for woodworking and furniture making, taking pride in creating beautiful pieces with his own hands. More recently, he worked from home, where his dedication and strong work ethic continued to shine.
Eric never met a stranger. He was outgoing, talkative, and genuinely enjoyed connecting with people. His happy-go-lucky personality, warm smile, quick wit, and ability to make others feel welcome left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved music and was always ready to turn it up and enjoy the moment. He was a devoted fan of the Jaquars football team and enjoyed spending time with friends on Purple Chip. Whether cheering on his team, listening to music, or sharing laughs with family and friends, Eric knew how to make the most of every moment. He had a gift for bringing laughter into everyday moments and will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Miller; his cherished son, Dylan Miller; his bonus mom, Nancy Miller; his brother, Scott Miller (Marion); his sisters, Melissa Stewart (Richard) and Robin Dwyer (Tim); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness.
A celebration of Eric's life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home.
Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
Though Eric's time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the joy he brought to those around him will live on forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
