Ocala - Eugene John McCarthy, 76, passed away February 3, 2017. Born in Springfield, MA on June 1, 1940 to Eugene E. and Lillian D. McCarthy. Eugene has been a Marion County resident for over 30 years and worked as a Station Chief for Marion County Fire Rescue.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Robin McCarthy; and brother, Michael McCarthy.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Chaplain Josh Mader officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
