Gary Lee Mahon

Gary Lee Mahon, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by a family on July 11, 2026 in Ocala, Florida. He was born February 15, 1944 to Edwin Swift Mahon Jr. and Elizabeth Jane Williamson in Endicott, New York. He was a trainer and jockey in the thoroughbred industry for most of his career.

He has proceeded by his parents; Daughter, Sheri Lynn Moore; brother, Steve Mahon; parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Mahon; daughters, Leanne Mahon and Jackie Gundlach (James); brothers, Eric Mahon (Linda) and Edwin “Rock” Mahon (Linda); sister, Gloria Diaferio (Dennis); grandchildren, Jade, Lauren, Kolby (Megan), Colt (Jence), Jonathan; great grandchildren, Presley and Kai.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
