George Anthony Altman, Jr.

George Anthony Altman, Jr., 62, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026.

Born on June 10, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, George was the beloved son of George and Dorothy Altman. He was a beloved brother, devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew and loved him.

George was preceded in death by his cherished son, Sonny Altman, and his brother, Mike Altman. Though their loss weighed heavily on his heart, his love for family remained unwavering throughout his life.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory: his daughter, Heather Altman; his brothers, John Altman and Robert Altman (Suzette); and his two beloved grandchildren, Joseph Altman and Ariana Altman. Their lives were enriched by his love, guidance, and steady presence.

George will be remembered for the bonds he shared with family, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely. He was always there to listen, give advice or help out anyone who needed it. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
