Gilbert Theodore Wiebe

Gilbert Theodore Wiebe, 70, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 27, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1956, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. He was a hardworking man who spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver and later delivered hay throughout Marion County, Florida. He loved being outdoors, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Dora Wiebe; his brother, Kenneth Wiebe; and his sister, Myrna Wiebe.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Wiebe; daughters, Amanda (Chris) Vandendriessche, Christina (Tony) Perez, Shiela Young, and Nancy (Robert) Burns; sons, Robert (Tara) Young, Gregory Young, and William Young; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Gerry Wiebe; and his sisters, Phyllis Penner, Jo-Anne Anstee, Suzanne Duncan, Trudy Shaner, and Beverly Holbrook-Devitt.

Gil will be remembered for his kind heart, and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home.
