Gina M Staton

Gina was born on January 5, 1949 in Arlington, Virginia to Henry and June Meyer. Gina was raised in Arlington where she graduated from Yorktown High School in 1967.

Gina has always loved horses and spent a lot of her time riding and competing in Hunter-Jumper and Dressage shows. Upon their retirement, Gina's parents moved to South Florida bringing Gina and her horse, Dusty.Through boarding her horse, she met her future husband Jerry as he helped her with a veternary concern. Following her time in South Florida, Gina, and husband Jerry, relocated to Marion County where together they developed a horse farm. Gina was very involved in the physical labor of the farm and enjoyed gardening. She also established a successful real estate career in Ocala.

Gina is predeceased by her parents and survived by husband Jerry, son Charles (Mary Ann) and grandson Matthew.

Along with Jerry, Gina was passionate of her love for Jesus Christ and the salvation that he provides for us. Gina and Jerry have been members of Unity Baptist Church in Anthony for many years. 

A Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home, immediately after visitation at 10:00 A.M. 9185 NE 21st Ave Anthony, FL 32617. Interment to follow at Millwood Cemetery.
