James Earl Baskin

James Earl Baskin, 52, passed away on June 1, 2026 in Reddick, Florida. He was born September 20, 1973 to Barry Baskin Sr. and Catha Young in Ocala, Florida. He worked as a tree arborist most of his career. He enjoyed fishing with his friends. In his youth he loved to skateboard and ride dirt bikes which he continued doing into adulthood. Doing anything with small engines and being outdoors always brought him joy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Barry Baskin Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Catha Smith and step father Gordon Smith; brother, Barry Baskin Jr.; numerous cousins, nephews, niece, uncles, aunts and friends.
A Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 13, 2026 at Countryside Funeral Home. His Uncle Paul Baskin will be officiating the service.
