Jerry Lucious Eugene Duvall, age 77, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on July 9, 2023 at home. He was born on July 16, 1945 in Carthage Missouri, one of eight children to the late Clifford Dean and Laura (Revels) Duvall. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years Shirley (Powell) Duvall, two sons Clifford Duvall and Robert Duvall, four daughters Sandra Howard, Wendy Luna, Cherie Herrera, and Tonya Duvall, seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jerry served in the United States Army as a Light Weapons Infantryman. He was assigned to the Co A, 2q ABG, 501st Inf located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he ultimately became a Paratrooper and was promoted to Private First Class (P). His awards include the Expert Marksman Badge, Basic Airborne Badge, and the Code of Conduct Medal. His passion was working on vehicles as a mechanic which he did for the remainder of his life for over 30 years. A funeral service has been scheduled for Friday July 21, 2023 at 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home with a visitation for one hour before.
