Ocala - Joann Naomi Birchfield, 71, passed away May 11, 2019. She was born February 15, 1948, in Annapolis, Maryland, to the late Joseph and Blanche Sweeney. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Reid Birchfield and brother, Joseph Wayne Sweeney. She is survived by her sons; Daniel (Blanche) Birchfield and Marvin Greenway; daughters, Tina Spradley (James), Bonnie Birchfield (Denise Hall); brother, Larry Dale Sweeney (Rita); ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Countryside Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 5:00 p.m.
