Jobe Marshall

Jobe D. Marshall went to be with his Lord August 26, 2021. Jobe was born November 22, 1924 in Lewes Delaware to the late Benjamin Marshall and Estella McChessney Marshall. Jobe spent his youth in Lewes and at age 16 joined the U.S. Air-force during WWll, and served the European Theater as an aircraft mechanic. He also served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War and retired from the Air-force in 1968.  He wore his WWII veteran cap every time he went out. He was a 73 year member of the Jefferson Lodge # 15 AF and AM Lewes. He and his wife Ginny moved to Ocala Florida in 1969 and he was employed by the Florida Division of motor vehicles as an inspector. He was a faithful Deep Water member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church Ocala. His love for the Lord was very apparent in all his correspondence and whenever engaged in conversations. He would greet you with a hello and immediately ask “Do you know my Lord?”

He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Estella Marshall Schildknecht and his step father Joseph Schildknecht, his loving wife Virginia who he fondly referred to as Ginny, his gem, with whom he spent 68 years. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Ellan Marsh and Edna S. Dentino. He is survived by his nephews William Marsh Jr. of Seminole Florida; John Dentino of Rehoboth Beach Delaware and two nieces, Kathryn Marsh of Lewes and Patricia Marvel of Lewes Delaware. He is also survived by his long time friend and caregiver Steven Felton of Ocala.  Memorial contributions may be made to Vets Helping Vets.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
