John Robert Stackman

October 31, 1946 — June 4, 2024

John Robert Stackman, affectionately known as "Jack" of Ocala, Florida, passed away on June 4, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on October 31, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Christopher and Anna Lee Stackman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Beverly Stackman; daughters, Jacqueline Rizzo, Jayden Eddy; brothers, Steven Stackman, David Stackman; sister, Linda Rex; three granddaughters; Erica, Jessica, and April and three great grandchildren; Faith, Ethan, and Iris. He is preceded in death by two of his children, John "Ronnie" Stackman and Julie Stackman, as well as his brother Richard "Dick" Stackman.

Jack graduated with the Class of 1964 from Fairborn High School. Jack worked as a Master Electrician for Dayton Power and Light for 40 years, after which he retired to Ocala in 2006. While working for Dayton Power and Light, Jack studied at Sinclair Community College, then received his Bachelor's degree from Capital University. He leaves behind a legacy of passion for knowledge, education, and standing up for what you believe is right. He was headstrong and steadfast, the rock of his family and community. He will be dearly missed by not only his family, but the communities of both Fairborn and Ocala/Salt Springs.

There will be a visitation at Countryside Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and a Mass is scheduled at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements. His remains will be buried in Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio.
