SLAVIK, JOHN WILLIAM “JACK”, 83
Anthony – John William “Jack” Slavik passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2016. Born in East Islip, Long Island, NY, he came to Anthony from South Florida 13 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a Carpenter/Handyman. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Catherine Slavik; sons: John William Slavik Jr. (Nancy), Pompano Beach, FL; Albert Slavik, Bowling Green, KY; daughters: Tina Zappa (Mike), Anthony, FL; Mary Slavik, Yonkers, NY; brother, Albert Slavik (Ellie); sister, Ginny Riordan (Jim); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Patrick Sheedy officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
