Karen Lee Reid

Karen L. Reid, 79, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 25, 2023.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on February 21, 1944 to Joseph and Helen Wyckoff. At the age of
eight, her parents moved the family to Hialeah, Florida. 
       She was adventurous, joyful and devoted to her family, friends and faith. Her professional career spanned
nearly six decades and included roles as a consumer credit clerk, bookkeeper, accounts receivable manager
and office administrator.  She loved spending time in the outdoors and visiting many national parks across the
United States and Canada.
     As a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, she held the office of Treasurer for many years. More
recently, she was a member of the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church and enjoyed working in the church office.
      Karen is survived by her sons, David Filer (Deb), Andrew ‘Drew’ Reid (Laura); daughters, Deborah
Mazzola, Tracy Snowberger (Scott), Barbara Reid; daughter-in-law Rebecca Filer; ten grandchildren, three
great grandchildren, and extended family.
     She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, Andrew L. Reid; her son Darryl Filer; her
parents; brother Ronald Wyckoff and sister, Janice Armitage.
       A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian
Church, with interment to follow at Fairfield Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM. 
     Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please
consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association
