Kathleen Marie Davenport

June 10, 1988 — May 24, 2026

Kathleen Marie Davenport, the beloved child of Federico Garcia and Christina Shiskin, was born on June 10,1988 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From an early age, Katie was known for her love of music, worship, dancing, kind spirit, heart of compassion, heart of service, strong sense of responsibility, infectious personality and sense of humor, avid soccer player, as well as a deep love for Jesus, family, and friends. This grew into a deep love and commitment that overflowed into her faith-based and social communities. These qualities remained constant throughout her life and became her legacy. Katie found joy in showing up for others in meaningful ways, meeting those around her in their need, and when needed, walked beside them through their trials with comfort, poise, dignity, wisdom, faith and the love of Jesus - always offering support without expectation.

Whether through her administration work, homeschooling community, marriage, raising her family, volunteer efforts, simple acts of kindness or coaching soccer, Katie never met a challenge that she didn’t face head on and this last battle, was no exception. Katie always believed in doing what was right and loving according to biblical scripture, and everything that Katie put her hand, mind and heart to, she did to the best of her ability, and did it all for the Glory of God, leaving behind, “fingerprints” of the love of Jesus everywhere.

Katie was 37 years old when she passed away peacefully at home, in Ocala, Florida, on May 24, 2026. She was surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 18 years, Adam Davenport; sons, Grayson, Nicholas “Nikko” and Micah; daughters, Elianna and Amelia; parents; brother, Miguel Garcia; sisters, Rebecca Clinchy and Christiana Garcia.

Though Katie will be deeply missed, Katie’s life serves as a quiet reminder of the impact that compassion, grace, humility, faith and unwavering love can have on those we come in contact with, just in our everyday lives.

Katie didn’t preach, she “just lived her faith out loud”.
