Kerry "Bo" Brian Hughes

Born on September 17th, 1957 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Bo loved all things outdoors and could name just about every species on National Geographic. He loved the water, loved to fish, loved his people, and most of all, loved Jesus. He could light up any room with his jokes, his laugh, the funny faces he would make, and the unforgettable things he would say; right up until his final days. He truly never met a stranger.

If there was one word to describe Bo, it would be FUN. He had a gift for making people smile and was good at anything he set his mind too.

On June 6th, 2026 he entered the golden gates to Heaven’s waterways and surely had tight lines right away.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Eugene C. Hughes, mother Mary Magathy Hughes and his brother Larry Hughes.

Bo is survived by his daughter, Holly Schmidt and her husband Brent Schmidt; his beloved grandchildren, Blake and Hanna Schmidt; along with many family members and friends who will forever cherish his laughter, love, and larger than life spirit.

Countryside has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
