Kim Melvin

Kim Melvin, age 70, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on April 7th, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family at home.

She was born on November 1st, 1953, in Malden, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late John D. and Norma (Everett) Larkin. Kim pursued her undergraduate studies at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ, and later graduated from St. Leo University in Ocala, FL. She dedicated herself to a fulfilling career in child welfare, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives through her compassion and dedication.

Kim is survived by her husband, Chris, her daughter Lindsay, and her son Jaymes, along with his wife Denise and her three cherished grandchildren, Angelo, Rosie, and Murphy.

Her warm presence and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Countryside Funeral Home has been entrusted with Kim's cremation arrangements. A funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 13th, at 2 p.m., offering an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to come together and honor her memory.
