Summerfield - Leonard Duwayne Carmean passed away at Tuscany House on July 11, 2015. Born June 16, 1936, to Merle and Nina Carmean in Flint, Michigan, he moved 15 years ago from Michigan to Summerfield. He retired from General Motors after 32 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonita Carmean; sons, Randy (Burnice) Slater, Danny Slater; daughters, Lisa (Grant) Dearing, Cindy LoRusso, Julie (Greg) Chadwick, Denise LaVenture; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Memorial Baptist Church, 3693 SE 95th St., Ocala, with Pastor Michael West officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
