HAINES, JR., LEONARD CHARLES,
OCALA- Leonard Charles Haines, Jr., passed away December 2, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. He was born August 5, 1954 to Leonard Charles Haines, Sr. and Marie A. Marsh in Derby, Connecticut. Leonard worked in the construction industry in NYC for 30 years. He was a part of a lot of projects including the construction of the JFK AirTrain, the rehabilitation projects of the George Washington Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, 59th Street Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, and 9/11 clean up. He served in the United States Army as well.
He was a proud member of The Cherrywood Veterans Club in Ocala, Florida. Leonard always looked forward to the opening day of deer season. He also loved taking his Harley out for the day with the love of his life right with him, Jacqueline. He always cherished his friends and time spent with them all. He had a special place in his heart for his four-legged companion "ZOEY BUG." However, nothing filled his heart more than time his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marie Haines and oldest brother William Haines.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jacqueline Haines; son, Jason Haines(Erika); daughter, Jessica Haines; brothers, Ronnie(Susan) and Patrick(Sophia) Haines; and sister, Pam Tilp(Jim). As well as three grandchildren, Joachim, Jared and Paige.
