Lynn Anthony Usrey

September 30, 1963 — May 23, 2026

Lynn Anthony Usrey, age 62, passed away on May 22, 2026. Though he lived in Ocala, his heart always belonged to the emerald waters and sugar-white beaches of Destin–Fort Walton Beach, where he felt most at peace surrounded by nature and the outdoors he loved so deeply.

Lynn was born on September 30, 1963, to Paul and Dorothy Usrey. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Usrey, and is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Usrey; his siblings, Mark Usrey (Rita), Daniel Usrey (Debbie), Greg Usrey (Jane), Patricia Golec (Jay), Lori Fox (Joe), Cary Usrey (Wendy), and Diane Graddy (Michael); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him tremendously.

Lynn proudly served two years in the United States Army. He found joy and peace in the simple beauty of life — kayaking and fishing at every opportunity, hiking wooded trails and capturing nature through his photography. He had an adventurous spirit, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and a wicked sense of humor.

Those who knew Lynn will remember his free spirit, kind heart, and the way he felt most alive under an open sky. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with adventure, laughter, and love.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Lynn’s life will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

In honor of Lynn and his love for the ocean and natural world, memorial donations may be made to his favorite charity 4Ocean, an organization dedicated to removing plastic and debris from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines.

Family and friends are encouraged to spend time outdoors, listen to good music, take in the beauty of nature, and never miss an opportunity to spend time with friends and family — the things that brought Lynn the greatest happiness.
