Margaret Ellen Wood

Margaret Ellen Wood, age 85, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on April 26, 2026. She was born on July 23, 1940, in Enigma, Georgia and is the daughter of J.C Robinson and Belle Harrell. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, James R. Wood. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Amy Stokes (Roy) and Gay Lynn Barrett; brothers, Jerry Harrell (Sharon) and Jerry Robinson (Gwen); sisters, Shelby Durden, Judy Ming (Bob) and Patricia Robinson. Margaret was blessed with four grandchildren: Randell Stokes (Kendra), Carla Eldredge (Jon), Chanda Lapham (Josh) and Leighton Barrett (Kelcie). She was also loved by 11 great grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebecca, Estella, Nathan (Jordii), Bryce, Kyle, AnaLisa, Jemma, Reighlynn, Wilah and Roan; As well as her childhood best friend, Nancy Swoveland. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:30 A.M. at Berean Baptist Church with a visitation an hour prior.
