Marshall Terry Penuel

Marshall Terry Penuel, "Marty", age 81, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on January 30, 2026. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Ocala, Florida a son of Terry and Gertrude Penuel.

Marty enlisted in the Florida National Guard in 1965 and served 6 years. He started working for Ocala Electric utility in 1964 and retired after 42 years in 2007. He married his best friend Wanda Stanley and they were married for 59 1/2 years. After his daddy retired he took over managing the DuPont farm, a 2000 acre farm, now the Silver Springs State Park. He lived there for 40 years with his wife and 2 daughters. There are many wonderful memories amongst his family and friends on that land. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and being in the woods. He enjoyed volunteering and supported the events at Kirby Family Farm for the past 11 years. He cherished his time with all his family and friends. 

He is preceded by; his mom and dad, brothers, Ray Penuel and Ronnie Penuel, and nephews, Dana Penuel and Rusty Penuel. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Wanda Penuel; daughters, Marsha Penuel-Liverman (Ed Liverman), Stephanie Penuel-Dunn; sisters, Sheri Williams, Patricia Shaw; grandchildren, Leila Renee Miller, Nikolas, Brandan, and Alayna Liverman. His nephews Jeff Penuel and Ronnie Summers and nieces Penny Jones, Kandi Ellzey, Rhonda Kirk, Tammy Fiellin, Kristie Shaw and Kendra Bloom. Also his companion cat Paddy.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Unity Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
