JAMES, Mattie Lee
Citra - Mattie Lee James, 77, passed away December 3, 2017. Born on May 29, 1940 in Live Oak, FL to Avner and Mammie Griffis. Mattie has been a resident of Marion County for 48 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Clarence James; sons, Darren McPherson (Sheryl), Blaise James; daughters, Carrie Novinger (Teddy), Brenda Luke (Phillip); sisters, Virginia Story, Trudy Flemming, Georgie Jones; grandchildren, Sheovahn Gant, Christia Faver, Lorena Upton, Grace Baker, Hope McPherson, Jaca Novinger; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Reverend Bob Gant officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, FL.
