Melvin "Mel" Lee Harris

Melvin "Mel" Lee Harris, age 84, of Silver Springs, Florida, passed away on September 12, 2023.  He was born on January 9, 1939 in Jackson, Minnesota a son to the late George and Florence Ross (Fisher) Harris. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Glen Harris. Mel was a US Navy Veteran and was a retired barber.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years Candace (Foster) Harris, a son Troy Harris, a sister-in-law Carolyn Harris, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  A Celebration of Life service has been scheduled for Saturday September 23, 2023 at 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Rd., Anthony, Florida, 32617.
