Ocala - Merle A. Shanor II, 78, passed away October 17, 2021. Born April 1, 1943 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, to the late Merle A. Shanor Sr. and Beatrice June Stuber. He retired from Bell Telephone Company. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and train enthusiast.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marsha Shanor; sons, Bill Shanor (Carolyn), Brett Shanor (Theresa); sister, Karen Gilson (Joseph); grandchildren, Rebecca Shanor, Ashley Shanor, Sebastian Shanor, Andrew Shanor; and many nieces and nephews all whom will miss him dearly.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL with Pastor Jackie Bears officiating.
