Minnie "Liz" Highsmith

Salt Springs - Minnie Elizabeth "Liz" Highsmith, 84, passed away March 10, 2021 at home. She was born February 23. 1937 in Jacksonville, FL to the late James Latimer Highsmith and Arnelia Viola Highsmith. She worked at Cactus Jacks Bar and Grill for 37 years and was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Norman Highsmith; sons, Wayne, Melvin and Norman Highsmith;  and daughter, Norma Jean. She is survived by her son, Tony Highsmith; step-son, Lamar Newton; brothers, John, David and Aaron Highsmith; sister, Betty Lou and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren all whom will miss her dearly.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the VFW, 23498 NE Hwy 314, Salt Springs, FL 32134. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL.
