Nancy Stephens

The family of Nancy Simms Stephens, 63, of Citra, FL sadly announce her passing on July 2, 2026. Nancy Stephens was a resident of Marion County Florida her entire life. Nancy is the daughter of Sylvia A. Mathews and Joel E. Simms Sr. She is survived by her husband John R. Stephens of Citra, FL, daughter Sierra Turner of Cocoa Beach, FL, and her siblings Joel E. Simms Jr. of Ocala, FL, Howell Simms of Hampstead, NC, Tiffanie Casteel of Knoxville, TN and Jennifer Simms of Ocala, FL. Nancy has one grandchild Jovani Emliio Martinez. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her quiet but sweet demeanor, her love for animals, and her deep connection to the ocean. A celebration of life will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on July 9th at 11:00. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Marion County Animal Services.
