Nina Brown

OCALA - Nina Jean (Hay) Brown, 82, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born to Virgil Hay and Clema Counts Hay in Haysi, Virginia on May 7, 1939. Jean graduated from Haysi High School. Jean was employed by Vocational Rehabilitation, where she worked with underprivileged youth. She later worked for Dayco, where she retired as an administrative assistant. She never met a person she didn’t like, and found the good in everyone.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Brown, a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Williamson (Marvin), a brother, Daniel Hay, grandchildren Daryl Brown, Olivia Dreschel, Kevin Brown, and Chad Brown and four great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews and their children.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and step-father Clifford Grizzle, son Melvin Brown, and brothers Jack Hay, Michael Grizzle, and Anthony Grizzle.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony, FL. Visitation will be held at 10 AM with the Service at 11 AM on Saturday, February 12th at the funeral home; burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memory Garden in Ocala.
